At Rowan Books, we understand that plans change. Our cancellation guidelines are designed to be fair, simple, and easy to follow.
1. Cancelling a Paperback Order
Because we process and ship orders quickly, paperback cancellations depend on timing:
1.1 Before the Order Ships
If your order has not shipped yet, you may cancel it for a full refund.
Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number.
We usually process orders within 0–1 business day, so quick communication helps.
1.2 After the Order Has Shipped
Once an order has shipped, we can no longer cancel it.
However, you may still return the item following our Return & Refund Policy.
2. Cancelling an eBook Order
Because ebooks are delivered instantly after purchase, most cancellations are not possible once the download link has been sent.
We can only cancel or refund an ebook order if:
- The wrong file or edition was delivered
- The file is corrupted or cannot be opened
- A duplicate order was placed by mistake (same title, same customer)
You must contact us within 7 days for ebook-related issues.
3. Orders Placed By Mistake
If you accidentally placed the wrong order (wrong book, duplicate purchase, etc.), please reach out immediately.
We’ll do our best to help, depending on whether the item has already shipped or been delivered.
4. Suspected Fraud or Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe your order was placed without your permission:
- Contact us immediately
- We will investigate the issue
- Unauthorized or fraudulent orders will be canceled or refunded as appropriate
5. Seller-Initiated Cancellations
Rowan Books may cancel an order if:
- Payment authorization fails
- The item is out of stock or unavailable
- The address provided is invalid
- Fraud detection systems flag the transaction
- There is a listing or pricing error
If we cancel your order, you will receive a full refund right away.
6. Refund Method
All approved cancellations are refunded to the original payment method.
Refunds typically appear within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank.
